The construction of the Adani coal mine is one of the most confronting examples of the fact that capitalism will always put profit above people and the planet. As it stands, the eight biggest corporations in the world today generate profits from the toxic fossil fuel industry. There are no market solutions to this logic. Only a society controlled by workers will be able to organise sustainable and just methods of production.
