For many progressives, the UN can seem to be a crucial counterpoint to the nationalism and self-interest of the various governments. Human rights, international law, peacekeepers - all of these concepts and institutions seem to offer a way out of endless wars and socio-economic injustice. But can the UN resolve capitalism's problems?
